Meet our principal attorney
Colle Jemibewon
Principal Attorney · WealthCounsel Member · Founder
“Your legal plan should reflect your life, not just your assets.”
Our principal attorney, Colle Jemibewon, is an estate-planning attorney and a WealthCounsel member. She started her legal career clerking for the Chief Judge in the Tax and Probate Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. That is where she first saw what happens to families when decisions get left to the court instead of being made at home.
Colle spent much of her career using her advocacy skills to help people through consequential moments in their lives. She brings those skills to our firm, where our legacy lawyers help individuals and families think intentionally about what they have built, the people they love, and how those people will be protected if they become incapacitated or when they are gone.
Colle is also a licensed associate real estate broker with RE/MAX, and that separate work informs how our team thinks about homeownership, property, wealth, and legacy. For many of the families we serve, the house is the center of the plan. If you need real estate representation, you can find Colle’s separate real estate practice at Dwell Well.
Our role is to help you think through your decisions, explain your legal options in language you can understand, and build the legal structure that puts your wishes into action. Colle leads that work as our principal attorney, supported by the Plan Well team.

A personal note
Colle is planning a
legacy, too.
Colle is not only our principal attorney. She is a wife and a mother raising four children, and she is building a life and a legacy with her own family. Her family enjoys life on their farm in Prince George’s County.
That means she sits with the same questions our clients bring to us. Who will care for the people we love? Who makes decisions if we cannot? What happens to the home and the property we have worked to build? And how do we make an inevitable season of grief easier on our children, rather than leaving them confusion and unanswered questions?
Colle’s husband works in wealth management, so conversations about money, security, family, and the future are a natural part of their everyday life. Financial planning and estate planning are different disciplines, but they ask related questions. What are you building? Why? Who are you building it for? And what happens if life does not go according to plan?
Raising a family reinforces something our team believes deeply: legacy does not begin when someone dies. We create it throughout our lives, in our families, our relationships, our traditions, our work, our generosity, our property, our values, and the memories we leave behind. Estate planning is one of the ways we make those intentions deliberate.
